A planner setup for content creators
Last updated:
Consistency is what grows an audience, and consistency is a planning problem. The creators who publish every week are rarely the ones with the most ideas; they are the ones with a pipeline.

The creator's real workload
For every published piece there is research, scripting or drafting, recording or photography, editing, thumbnails or images, descriptions, publishing, promotion and replying to comments — plus sponsor emails, analytics and the ideas that arrive at the worst moments. Doing all of it for one piece at a time, the night before, is how creators burn out.
Step by step
- Choose the publishing day. One fixed day per format. Everything else in the pipeline is scheduled back from it.
- Write the production steps once. Research, script, record, edit, publish, promote — as repeating tasks on fixed weekdays.
- Keep an idea inbox. Every idea goes into one place immediately. Never trust yourself to remember it.
- Batch production days. Record or write several pieces in one session; edit in another.
- Build a one-piece buffer. A finished piece in reserve turns a bad week into a non-event.
- Review monthly. Look at what performed and what drained you; adjust topics and rhythm.

Pick a rhythm you can keep for three months
One good piece a week is more sustainable than three rushed ones. Choose a publishing day and work back: script done by Tuesday, recording on Wednesday, editing by Friday. Keep a buffer of one finished piece for sick days and holidays.
Batch similar work
Recording two episodes in one session, writing three outlines in one afternoon, and doing all thumbnails on Friday saves the setup time each task carries. Batching also lets you get into the right mode once instead of switching all week.
