Privacy by design: you decide what leaves your device
Last updated:
A planner holds some of the most personal data you have: where you will be, what worries you, your health. Pladay is built so that the default is the private option, and each step beyond it is a choice you make.
Use Pladay without an accountRead the privacy policyOpens in your browser — no install or sign-up needed.
No account required
You can use Pladay without signing up. In that case your tasks, notes and records are stored only in the browser or app on your device and are not sent to Pladay's servers. If you sign in, data syncs to your account, encrypted in transit and at rest, and is included in encrypted nightly backups.
Sensitive records stay on the device by default
Some modules hold particularly sensitive information: menstrual cycle, intimacy, doctor visits, blood pressure and blood glucose, and GPS routes from workouts. These are device-only by default. Using them for the first time asks for explicit consent, and syncing one to the cloud needs a second, separate confirmation for that module. Cycle and intimacy can be locked with a PIN.
AI only when you ask, with the engine you choose
Understanding “tomorrow at 3pm” happens on your device. Generative features such as breaking a task into steps or a daily briefing send the relevant text only when you run them, to the engine you selected: Pladay Cloud, an on-device model, a local model on your computer, or a provider with your own API key (stored on that device only). Sensitive records are excluded from automatic AI features.
Export and delete at any time
- Download everything as one ZIP file: JSON, a CSV per module, and your photos and voice notes.
- Save and restore backup files; keep automatic snapshots on the device.
- Delete your account; synced data is removed from the service.
How Pladay makes money
Pladay has a free plan and a paid Pro plan. We do not sell your data or use your tasks for advertising. The details, including the processors we use and where data is stored, are in the privacy policy.
FAQ
Can Pladay staff read my tasks?
Data you sync is stored on Pladay's servers so your devices can share it, and it is not end-to-end encrypted. Data you never sync, including device-only modules, never reaches our servers.
Is end-to-end encryption available?
Synced data is encrypted in transit and at rest, but not end-to-end encrypted. If that matters for some records, keep them in device-only modules or use Pladay without an account on that device.
