An AI day plan where you make the decisions
Last updated:
Describe your day in one sentence. Pladay turns it into tasks, finds time that doesn't clash with your calendar and shows why each block sits where it does. Nothing is changed before you approve, and after applying a single Undo puts everything back.

One sentence → several plans
Type “Tomorrow morning I'll prep for the client meeting, then 3 hours of development in the afternoon, and a workout in the evening. The report has to be done by Friday.” into the quick-add box and a “Make it a plan · 4 items” chip appears under it. Enter still adds a single task as before; the proposal opens only when you tap the chip or press Ctrl+Enter.
The sentence is split at commas, full stops and joining words such as “and then”, “then” or “after that”. Each part is read for a day (tomorrow), a part of the day (morning, afternoon, evening), a duration (3 hours) and a deadline (by Friday). When you say “then”, the later item is placed after the earlier one. It works the same way in all 12 languages and runs on your device, instantly and without a network.
Durations: what you said first, then your own history
A duration you state is used as is. Otherwise Pladay looks at how long similar tasks really took you (focus-timer sessions, work finished inside a planned block), then at your average for that kind of work (meeting prep, writing, exercise…), and only then at a default. Every duration shows where it came from — “as you said”, “from your last 3”, “estimate” — and one tap changes it.
Placed without clashes, with a reason
- Fixed things first: timed tasks and your subscribed calendars (Pro) are worked around, with a buffer before and after events. If a time you asked for clashes, the item moves to the nearest free slot and the plan tells you.
- Your day's rules: working hours, when your day starts and ends, lunch and a daily focus-time limit. Going over the limit shows a warning.
- Energy: focus work goes to your peak hours, personal things like a workout or groceries outside working hours. Long work is split into blocks of at most 90 minutes with a break between.
- Meeting prep: when the meeting is in your calendar, its preparation is placed right before it.
- Reasons: each block carries a short note such as “In the morning, as you said” or “Protecting the Fri deadline: 2×1 h 30 min on Wed·Thu”.
Nothing changes before you approve
In the proposal you can leave items out, change titles, days, parts of the day and deadlines, drag blocks (or move them with the arrow keys) and lock them in place. “What will change” lists the tasks that will be created and the ones whose time moves; then choose “Apply all” or “Apply selected”. The Undo button right after applying reverts the new tasks, the changed times and the stored day plan in one go.
Re-plan when the day slips, carry over in the evening
When the day doesn't go to plan, tap “Re-plan” on Today. Blocks that still fit stay exactly where they are; only work that slipped or now clashes with a new event moves into the time that is left. With Pro, Today shows a gentle banner when it notices this.
In the evening wrap-up, sort what you didn't finish into “Tomorrow's plan”, “Another day” or “Drop”. The next morning Pladay proposes a plan for the day that starts with those.
What the AI does — and doesn't
Placement is always done by fixed rules (a deterministic engine), so the same input gives the same plan, offline and without AI. “Refine with AI” lets the AI engine you chose tidy titles and estimate durations you didn't state — nothing more — and an answer that strays from the expected format in any way is thrown away. Only your sentence and the item titles are sent; notes and sensitive module records never are.

FAQ
What if I don't like the plan?
Tap “Discard” and nothing changes. Even after applying, the Undo that appears right away reverts everything at once.
Does the AI change my tasks on its own?
No. The engine and the AI only propose; tasks and times change only when you approve. See also privacy.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Reading the sentence and placing the work happen on your device. Only “Refine with AI” needs the AI engine you chose.
