A planner setup for stay-at-home parents and homemakers
Last updated:
Running a home is a full-time job with no handover and no end of shift. The work is mostly invisible until it is not done. A good setup makes it visible, shares it where possible and keeps a place for you in the plan.

The shape of a household week
Meals three times a day, laundry, cleaning, school runs and activities, doctor and dentist appointments, bills and paperwork, birthdays, repairs, shopping — and the mental load of remembering all of it. Much of it repeats, which is good news: repeating work can be set up once and then shown only when it is due.
Step by step
- List the household's repeating work. Daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal chores, plus bills and admin.
- Give each item a rhythm and, if possible, a person. Rotate shared chores so the load is visible and fair.
- Plan meals and shopping on the weekend. Seven dinners, one list, one shop.
- Add the family's dates. School events, appointments, birthdays and renewals, each with a reminder.
- Keep a short daily list. Only what is due today, plus at most one bigger job.
- Book time for yourself. One recurring slot a week that is protected like an appointment.

Plan meals once a week
Choosing dinner every afternoon is a daily decision you can make once a week. Pick the week's meals on the weekend, write the shopping list from them, and shop once. Keep a short list of reliable fallback meals for the evening when plans collapse.
Put yourself on the list
Schedule your own appointments, a weekly hour that is yours, and the occasional evening off as real tasks with dates. If it is not on the plan, it gets used up by everything else.

FAQ
Can my partner see and tick off chores?
Each person uses their own account, or a household shares one. The Home module can rotate chores between named members.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Pladay saves everything on your device first and syncs when you are online, so the shopping list works in a supermarket with no signal.
