Korean lunar ↔ solar date converter
Convert a solar date to the Korean lunar calendar (음력) or a lunar date to the solar calendar, with leap months. The table shows when the same lunar date falls in each of the next ten years — handy for lunar birthdays and memorial days.

Which lunar calendar is this?
This converter uses the Korean lunar calendar (음력), computed astronomically for Korea Standard Time (UTC+9) for lunar years 2000 to 2050. It agrees with the Chinese lunar calendar in almost every year, but because the Chinese calendar uses UTC+8, a new moon late in the evening can put a month's first day one day apart — 2027 and 2028 Lunar New Year are examples. For Chinese or Vietnamese dates, confirm with a local calendar.
Leap months
A lunar year has 12 months of 29 or 30 days, about 11 days shorter than a solar year. To stay in step with the seasons, a leap month (윤달) is added roughly every three years. If you ask for a leap month in a year that has none, the converter uses the regular month and says so; day 30 in a 29-day month is moved to day 29.
Never miss a lunar birthday again
Lunar dates move around the solar calendar each year, which is why they are easy to forget. In Pladay you can type “every year on lunar 3/12” (or in Korean, 매년 음력 3월 12일) and the task repeats on the right solar date each year — see repeating tasks. The Anniversaries module also supports lunar birthdays.
FAQ
Why is the range limited to 2000–2050?
The converter uses Pladay's own lunar table, the same one the app uses for lunar repeats, which covers those years.
Is Seollal (Lunar New Year) lunar 1/1?
Yes. Convert lunar month 1, day 1 for a given year to see its solar date.
