Your tasks in your calendar app
Last updated:
Tasks with dates belong next to your meetings. Pladay gives you three ways to put them there, from a read-only subscription to sending a single task as an event.

1. Subscribe to a private iCal feed
After signing in, create your private calendar link in Settings and add it to any calendar that supports subscriptions: Google Calendar (“From URL”), Outlook (“Subscribe from web”), Apple Calendar (“New Calendar Subscription”) or Naver Calendar. Every task with a date appears as an event; tasks with a time use their time estimate (or 30 minutes) as the duration, and completed tasks are marked with ✓.
Repeating tasks are exported with standard repeat rules. Completion-based and lunar repeats, which calendar apps do not support, appear as their next date. The link is secret: anyone who has it can see the feed, so if it leaks, create a new link in Settings; the old one stops working.
Calendar apps decide how often they refresh subscriptions. Pladay asks for hourly updates, but some services, Google Calendar in particular, may take several hours to show changes.
2. Download a .ics file
From a list's share menu you can download its dated tasks as a .ics file and import it into any calendar. This is a one-time copy; later changes in Pladay are not reflected. Meeting notes can also be exported as a .ics event.
3. Send a task to your calendar
Connect Google Calendar, Naver Calendar or Outlook and send a task as an event in that calendar. This is a Pladay Pro feature; free accounts can try it once a day.
Which option should I use?
- You want all dated tasks visible next to meetings, always up to date: subscribe to the feed.
- You want to hand a plan to someone else or archive it: download a .ics file.
- You want one specific task to block time in a shared work calendar: send it as an event (Pro).
- You plan your day in Pladay anyway: use the calendar view and time blocks, and skip the export.
Or plan in Pladay's own calendar
Pladay has a calendar view of your tasks, a timeline of time blocks for today and an upcoming view. Many people keep meetings in their work calendar and use the feed to see tasks there, while planning the day in Pladay.
FAQ
Is this two-way sync?
No. The feed and .ics files are one-way, from Pladay to your calendar, and sending a task creates an event without linking later edits. Edit tasks in Pladay.
Do I need an account for the feed?
Yes, because the calendar service fetches the feed from Pladay's server. The .ics download works without an account.
